This week, we chatted with Jennifer – our Corporate Trainer – about her favorite food, her most unusual job, and what she loves most about working at VeriShip.
When did you start working for VeriShip?
October 28th, 2019
What are three things that make you want to come to VeriShip each day?
- The people! Every person in the office has a unique and amazing story, and all bring something special to the environment.
- The work! I love what I do and really enjoy helping to set people up for success in their new position with an amazing company.
- The culture! I love working for a company that so obviously cares about the employee experience.
What is one quality you pride yourself on?
I love to learn. Google is my best friend (and worst enemy), as I am able to research anything under the sun at the drop of a hat.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
Before working at VeriShip, what was the most interesting or unusual job you had?
I worked a few retail jobs during college, and one of them was at Bebe on the Plaza. There were plenty of interesting things that went on in that store, not to mention interesting fashion choices.
If you could see any movie again for the first time, what would it be?
Jurassic Park. I remember how excited I was to watch that movie for the first time. I was around 10 years old, and wasn’t totally convinced that the dinosaurs weren’t real.
In your opinion, what luxury item is totally worth the price?
A really good meal and a bottle of wine. Or, Club level seats at Arrowhead Stadium.
What would your pet say about you if we asked them for a reference?
“She’s the best, and I just want to be near her all the time!!! Her only downfall would be the two little humans she gave birth to, who take away all the attention she used to give me.” – Slater the dog
If you could choose one actress to play you in a movie, who would it be?
Blake Lively. She’s married to my celebrity crush, she has a great sense of humor, I love her fashion sense and she’s a pretty good actress.
Where is your favorite place to be?
At home with my husband and two kiddos… I know, that’s boring.
If you could master any skill, what would it be?
Carpentry. I think it would be nice to know how to construct my own furniture or build an addition to my house… I’ve seen too much HGTV.
