When did you start working for VeriShip?
I started in January 2019 – coming up on my first year here!
What are three things that make you want to come to work at VeriShip each day?
1. The people I get to work with are awesome.
2. I learn something new every day.
3. We have a never-ending flow of really good coffee, and beer!
What’s one project you’re working on right now that you’re excited about?
Delivering client insights. As a data company, we have so many cool insights that can help our clients, as well as our internal teams, and I have been working with our data science team to deliver those.
What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?
The sappy answer: My children.
If you could bring back one TV show from your childhood, what would it be?
Saved By the Bell (when they are in high school – none of this ‘college years’ nonsense).
What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people use the phrase “I’m just saying.” I know you’re just saying it because you just said it.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Tacos. I don’t think I would ever get sick of tacos.
What is the most played song in your music library?
“Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks
If you could see one movie again for the first time, what would it be?
The Godfather Part 1. I would include Part 2 in this, but definitely not Part 3.
If you could do another job for a day, what would it be?
Bullpen catcher. I don’t even need to get in the game – just hang out in the bullpen and play some catch.
Have you ever had an encounter with a famous person?
Paul Rudd. We were in the same fraternity at the University of Kansas (he was before my time), but he randomly stopped by, walked into my room and said, “Hey, I used to live here!” This was during the time period that he was on Friends, so needless to say, we took him out and he had to spend the whole night answering questions about Friends.
Give us your best Dad joke.
How do you get Pikachu on a stick? You Pokemon.
