Our ShipMates are what make VeriShip such a collaborative, intelligent, and fun place to work. Without each individual ShipMate, our Ship wouldn’t sail as smoothly as it does. We’re extremely grateful for what each team member brings to the table to make our culture unique.

Just over three years ago, VeriShip welcomed aboard Tyler Shepherd. Tyler is a Kansas State University alum and is an essential asset to our business development team. When Tyler isn’t spending time with his family and friends, he can be found on the golf course, hiking, camping, and scuba diving.
What excites you about working at VeriShip?
What excites me most about VeriShip is the people I get to work with every day. We have so many talented, creative, and driven individuals that motivate me to work harder and be a stronger asset. The growth and change I’ve seen since I’ve started at VeriShip inspires me to go to work and continue to impact the company in the most positive way possible. The culture cannot be quantified here, and it allows our team to work better (and play harder) together, ultimately equaling continued achievement and growth.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
Moneyball! In other words, we are using the same methodologies that we empower our customers with to help maximize our sales output. We analyze objective data to streamline productivity and increase efficiency and performance within our business development. Overall, this results in more sales and revenue for the company.
What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
I can juggle and moonwalk (not at the same time).
What are you passionate about?
I am most passionate about my family – My wife, Megan, and our little boy, Bobby. I’m also passionate about spending time with friends, being outdoors, traveling, and cooking.
What was the best concert you ever attended?
A few years back, my wife and I went on the Sailing Southern Ground cruise with two of our best friends. The Zac Brown Band was the main headliner and Chris Stapleton, Michael Franti, Spearhead, and about 30 other bands were on the cruise as well. As the cruise took off, Zac Brown Band performed a full concert on the top deck of the ship and we were front row. Zac himself gave us the setlist he had taped on the deck. Later on, during the trip, Zac performed an acoustic show on the deck for a crowd of about 20 of us.
Who inspires you?
My wife, my boy, my parents, and my grandparents. Also, helping people achieve their goals and find success and happiness inspires me.
What’s your earliest memory?
What a strange question. I don’t know – maybe Christmas 1990? All Ghostbusters and TMNT gear that year!
What three words would you use to describe our culture?
Open, entrepreneurial, and lively.
Tyler is just one great example of why we love the people we work with and hearing about their stories. Interested in working with Tyler and our other awesome ShipMates? Check out VeriShip’s job openings on our careers page.
